So I was wondering what different routines and or schedules everyone has for there tanks. Post what your schedule is and also it would be interesting to know if you use a controller or are you still old school

David

Old school here. With a nano it's easy. Bi-weekly 20% WC. Skimmer cup cleaning every other day as it's a hob and in the open :)
Clean all power heads & pre-skimmer box monthly with vinegar. Clean glass inside & out as needed.

I am using a controller so i only do routine maintence. Water change on a month, glass cleaning, every few days, and manual dosing of supplements.

No controller
weekly water testing, dosing as needed
Daily vodka dosing
Fill sump every 3 days
Clean halide reflectors monthly
Clean the glass every few days

No controller. Weekly 10% water change, clean filter media dose if needed.

Daily: Stare at the tank and enjoy it :)

Several times a week: Wipe down front glass, clean algae with Mag float.

Once a week: Empty and clean skimmer cup, rinse all mechanical filters, fill up ATO reservoir.

Once every 2 weeks: 10% (20 gallons) water change on a 200 gallon system, check salinity in DT.

Once a month: Replace GAC, refill dosing containers, check alk levels. Tank has been running for over 3 years, so I don't check anything else anymore. Unless something looks off.

Every several months or so: Frag overgrowing coral, and give away or throw away the pieces.

As needed: Replace bulbs, replace RODI filters, clean equipment.

Do you have an auto dosing system setup?

Old School :)

Daily: Turn lights on, clean glass of diatoms, feed fish pellets
weekly: Spot feed corals frozen foods, clean debris from powerheads, clean filter sock, clean protein skimmer, 25% water change (15 gallons of water for 60gallons of water)

rinse and repeat :) No dosing

Tank has been set up for 2years now

I have a ReefAngel controller which does some stuff for me, like lights and ATO.
So everyday I feed and check on inhabitants and skimmer cup/sump water level. Clean the glass when I notice something =P
Once a week I do a 15-20% water change
Every 2 weeks I am now using Prodibio BioClean
Every 3 months change out kent nitrate sponge media.
That is all that I have that has exact times. A lot of stuff is played by ear, like cleaning equipment or cleaning out the sump or emptying the skimmer cup.

Clean main pump every two months, replace carbon and floss cover once a week, replace fuge floss when dirty, clean glass once a week,10% water change and gravel surface clean once every 10 days, clean powerheads when dirty, wipe off light cover once a week, check measurements like Ph salinity, temp daily. Test mag weekly, test calcium and alkilinity weekly
