 I had planned to use an old CPR-194 to run in my 120 gal tank.
But I have mixed feelings. I am trying to decided on a new protein skimmer for my diy sump.
Not sure which one to go with. I hear so many good things about Reef Octopus and Euro-Reef.
Any suggestions?

I've been running an AquaC EV120 in my 90 gallon for 4 years ... and have had to do "inside cleaning"/maintenance ONCE. Obviously emptying the collection cup is required a couple times per week. Very easy to operate/adjust ... A+ in my opinion.

Thanks for the input. I have looked at both the Octopus 160 and the AquaC EV120. Seems like both will do a great job.

They have a used AquaC EV120 at my LFS right now for 40 bucks. ;( So you may find them for a good deal somewhere close

Euro-reef is not in business as Euro-reef anymore.
Aquac are nice skimmers but the technology is rather old and there are far more efficient skimmers for the money. any of the needle wheel skimmers will out do them watt for watt.

What are you planning to do with the CPR 194? I'm looking for one if you want to sell. I have a CPR192 and it is just to small for my setup.
