I'm fairly new to R2R and need some help figureing out this Anemone. I was given this Anemone a couple of weeks ago. It is about 8 inches in diameter and VERY white with a little bit of pink in the center of the base.

It's not a Condy, maybe an LT/Macro, but has been eating well and seems very healthy to call it "bleached."

I am needing some help identifying it because a gold/maroon clownfish has just made it a home. I just don't want the little guy to get eaten. He's in there and hard to see sometimes.

Please see the pics attached and lmk if you can help ID this big thing.

Thanks guys!

It looks like a sebae too me. I was told by an anemone farmer to use frozen krill daily to bring back the color and health. Its deff bleached.

it's eating shrimp & krill almost daily & color hasn't changed. It seem healthy, but I just can't ID.

Boxer, how can you be so sure it's bleached?

You can tell it is bleached because it is more "translucent" than "white." Further, bleached anemones often still eat well. Good luck with its recovery - keep us posted!

good luck!

No anemone is naturally white. It's definitely very bleached. It's expelled it's Zooanthallea. If it's expelled 100% of the Zooanthallea, it may never return to its natural color.
