Why i should Test my PH?

Hi.

In my weekly reef routine I usually test Kh, Ca, Po4 and No3 two times, and MG monthly, but curiously all automated controllers (Apex, Reef-pi, etc.) have a unit to test PH online, and I don’t remember the last time that I test it.

Then my question is, why I should test PH ? what important information can give to me if I check KH regularly?

Alkalinity does not tell you pH. Some people with very tight homes have accumulated CO2 in the air that drives down pH and they may benefit from measures to reduce that effect.
