Alright neat. Time to read some of the linked articles now. I'm also thinking about changing my bulb combo now as well. I chose the bulbs based off my previous understanding that more blue=more color and a more white look=faster growth. Now I know it's a bit different than that generalization.

+1, Diesel has the T5 bulbs dialed in pretty well. I'm copying his bulb selection at the moment.

There are so many variables involved in coral coloration, but it is interesting to see that the limited spectrum from LED's may shed some anecdotal evidence on at least how some corals may react to specific wavelength heavy lighting.

It would be über interesting for someone in a lab environment to test this using LED's (since they emit a limited known spectrum)

Anyone who can stand it, should read that article.

(And make no mistake, I'm no math person so I gloss over all the formulas and fifteen-syllable words, etc. I'm reading it for the English language parts!!!)
