so ive had my tank running for almost a yr now with no problems until today i woke up and my atlantic blue tang skin looked like he had a sunburn goin on n was swimming poorly so i took him out before he died in my tank but im clueless to whats going on he was the only one that looked like that levels in tank are
ammonia 0ppm
nitrate 5ppm
nitrite 0ppm
ph 7.8

any idea whats going on with my tank have not done nething new to tank

my 2 clowns , sixline wrasse, madarin goby, and pink spot goby all seem fine as do my 2 coral banded shrimp and my corals

Could it be lateral line erosion (LLE)?

Could very well have tangled with or slept in the Frogspawn or Hammer which are both Euphyllia species. At night they have feeding tentacles out and are at their most of a threat to Fish or ???

Cheers, Todd

ya i think thats what it was cause i noticed my sailfin had the same thing going on and he was near the frogspawn the nite before thanks for the help guys
