I have ordered four wrasses. Two fairy and two flasher. I've read bad things about treatments in qt being fatal. So what is the best method that does but include tank transfer method (I don't have another 40 gallon tank available). I'm new to wrasses but want to do the best qt I can with my current set up.

I have prozi pro and copper meds in hand.
Thanks.

You can try using a chelated copper like copper safe or copper power since it's supposed to be gentler on fish than Cupramine. You can try getting a hold of some Chloraquine Phosphate instead.

+1 And you can use Prazipro on wrasses, just take care NOT TO OVERDOSE. If in doubt underdose a little.

Is the Chloraquine Phosphate Hard to find? I think what I have is the strong stuff but I'll look again to get exact name

Wrasses do not like copper. If you really want to QT them I would do a hypo treatment. Prazi is OK in hypo.

Good luck.

Pharmaceutical grade (the good stuff) requires an Rx from either a vet or doctor friend.

Where did you order them from

With the prozi, you say don't over do at all. I can easily calculate my water volume. However when I go to redose after 7 days, I will do my water change, but won't there still be some residual medicine in remaining water?

It doesn't stay active in the water that long. I believe it's 24 hours, but Humble can correct me on that if I'm wrong.

I buy all my livestock from a place that qt the fish they have all went straight to the tank and all alive and healthy if he kills them in a qt it will void warranty.

Prazipro remains active in the water column for up to 72 hrs, but only needs 24 hrs max to do its job. So technically, you could do a water change after 24 hrs if you were worried about prolonged exposure for wrasses. :)

Thanks! I knew 24 hours was an important time frame for prazi. ;)
