Have had a Naoko Wrasse for about 2 1/2 weeks now. Today I noticed it swimming kind of funny... Lots of twirling, unable to stay right, and getting tossed around in current. Also saw my melanurus and foxface both briefly chase it which they've never done. Easily caught it and put it in a lower flow tank that only has a few firefish. Not getting tossed around as much but still acting odd. Other posts seem to point toward a spinal injury? Anything I can do or just let it try and relax in the calmer tank?

Had been eating fine up until today and haven't seen him eat today.

Cant view video but sounds like this wrasse is in great distress and may be moribund due to aggression or injury

Sorry, it does look like an unknown wrasse disease I’ve been tracking for a few years now. No cause or treatment is known yet, but it isn’t due to a spinal injury as we never see any corresponding facial injury seen. My write up about it is here:

Thanks. Sounds exactly like what I'm experiencing. Never saw it jump or any indication of damage or being picked in until he started acting weird. Seems unfortunate and sad but I'll give him a few days if he doesn't pass tonight and see how he does if he can eat anything... Otherwise I guess I'll euthenize.
