I no longer have a tank, but I used to work at a saltwater fish store where I would take home the asterina stars whenever I cleaned the tanks. The fish store has since moved and none of the systems are established yet! I have called and checked the other fish stores, have tried to put an ad on craigslist & ask a couple people I know with tanks, and nothing!

I make display pieces and art out of insects & fish. I don't kill the fish, I get them from the fish stores whenever they die. But certain insects and these starfish are fair game, especially since I know most people take them out of their tank anyway!
With that in mind, I don't want/need them alive so shipping would not be too tedious.. They could just be in a small bag inside of a really small polymailer. I can pay a couple cents per starfish if needed and I will pay for shipping costs.

I know I just joined today, I'm sorry! But I am really wanting some and finally thought to see if anyone at a reef forum could help. Thank you!

If I can figure out a good way to catch them I will. I'm not too sure how to go about getting them. Maybe a scraper and a net will work

A scraper works wonders! They "pluck off" pretty easily too but if there's a lot, I think the net and scraper would be the easiest. Thank you so much!

Hey, I haven't forgotten about you. The scraper and net doesn't work to well. I have found a more effective way with a turkey baster. So I'll get to it tomorrow and catch several.

I have a few but I like them cause they help clean the rocks... If they start getting over populated in my tank I will let you know

How big are you wanting them to be? The majority of mine are tiny...

I'm wanting the tiny ones! Preferably if you can still tell their "general shape" and aren't the size of ground pepper.

Ok, they're small

Well I had about 40 and knocked the bucket over. There's about 10 stuck inside my turkey baster lol...

Haha oh no! Well even the amount on the paper would be great. How much per would you want for them? Shipping would be simple too, if you could put them in like a ziplock bag in a small mailer or probably even an envelope

I'm sure I'll get at least 50 more. I want seventeen million dollars in unmarked $50 bills.... I don't want anything from you for them. How about you post some pictures of what you make with them and let me know?

I will try to get 17 million dollars as quickly as possible!
Right now I've been working on these """miniature galaxy""" (very vaguely galaxy-like) things

Beyond those I'm wanting to do little miniature "diorama" type things in an altoids tin or some other really small container

I want one! My girlfriend would love that. Can you make me one like in the picture and add some purple to it?
