Hello all. New guy from Ripley, WV area. On R2R and Nano Reef.

Where does everyone frequent for coral and supplies?

I have been and use Belpre Aquarium, Inland Reef (Crosslanes), Specialty Pets (in the process of closing down :( ) and of course the Petco Petsmart chains. Berts Pet Center in KY is nice. Any hidden gems I am missing?

I’ve hit the Petco/Petsmarts in the Charleston/Huntington area. Belpre Aquarium every so often but I mostly order online.

A friend has a 75 gallon system for sale. It is still wet. He told me $500. I have pics if anyone is interested. I think it is in Huntington WV.

Just picked up a 150gal to start a new salt tank. Any tips or suggestions for lights, coral, sand I should get. I currently have a 50gal salt tank. But have never set up anything this size. Thanks everyone

That size can become as expensive as you want. I would start with a budget and use that to decide where you're gonna go.

I like Radions for light I have mostly sps corals and a few fish in a 90 gal. MP40s work well for me for water flow. I have a bare bottom, tried the thick sand bed but like bare better. I also like the VorTech pumps for return pump(M1) and have an S1 for reactor. Take your time. I do have some green stag acropora coral I need to trim if you would be interested later on. I also use an Apex EL controller.

I’m in Barboursville....if somebody has any corals they want to sell let me know. Prefer mushrooms, torches, and anemones.

Thought I would share a few pix. I could possibly have some green stag that I need to trim and swap/sell. I’m in Charleston.
