I have 100 of these coming end of week. My inital thought was they will clean a little but mostly get eaten by my puffer. My brother said I want to be careful because my tank is so new there isnt alot for them to eat and if they die off it will kill everything in my tank possibly. Can I keep them in a bucket outside the tank for any length of time?

tank age? If your tank can have a puffer these shouldn't be an issue.

Tank is 3 months old. Puffers are pretty hardy fish. Never seen any restrictions or recommendations that the tank should be x months old or anything other than cycled. Not like a nem (6months) or anything like that
