I have this small frag that I've had for a while now. About 2 weeks ago all of the polyps closed up for like 1-2 weeks. When they open up the skirt of the Zoas are orange when they used to be purple. Is this possible? I don't have a before pic of them which sucks.

Yeah that's true , I've had them close up sometimes for days then when they open color is gone. It's almost like they ring the color right out of their self

So i have these fight back palys. I call them that cus i got them over a year ago and they have been through alot with all my newbie tank fouls . we are currently dealing with green hair algae but they just keep hangin on. They are almost completely hot pink in the middle ring wut kind are they. I wanna save them so bad

I mean i think of it as these might be the last 6 polyps of these beautiful corals in the world . and i want them to thrive so i can frag them and share them with others.

I have my own name for them cotton candy warriors . that's wut i say to them every time i clean the hair algae away from them

I have an ugly green colony that gets a blue center ring when I dose vinegar. Not sure why but it's a very distinct difference.

Im not really that advance yet with the dosing. I use two part . oceansblend. I have a very nice green bay packer colony small frag of radioactive dragon eye descent size colony of watermelon. The pinkies and a three more un named zoos. How does this vinager thing work.

It's for nitrate/phosphate reduction. Google carbon dosing. I think I also read that it reduces Zooxanthellae which covers corals so my guess is something in that changes the colors.

Sorry been trying to get good pic of pink ones.

These are the unnamed ,not sure traded a couple corals for these. Honestly they are getting big in my fuge. And its pretty dirty down there. Maybe i should put those pink ones down there.

Only have like 6 heads of pinks. It kinda sucks cus a month ago was almost 12. .. Think my emerald crab is munching on them
