Hello:
I'm sure this is a repeat topic, but I can't find anything on it. I have noticed on several occassions that my zoas and palys excrete a brown stringy stuff from their mounths. Any body know what this is? is it waste or good? is this a sign of a normal healthy zoa? or of a bad water condition?

I have seen mine do it after I forget to plug the heater back in over night after working on my tank and the temp gets real low....I think it is a sign of stress wither it be parameters or temp....They do it sometime after acclimation also....

Thanks

Thanks Pazzaz, that's what I thought, I usually help it along with turkey paster and suck it out. Your sunset and rainbow are doing great by the way. except my dang cleaner shrimp keeps poking around and cause them to close up sometimes.
