is any one familier with this as one member did discribe this condition eat away my polups leaving a milkey white condition on the rocks

great info! looks like correct the polups are attached on rocks that cannot be moved do you use the solution in the tank?and wher would you buy it online?

You won't want to do this in your tank. My suggestion is to remove the rock with the polyps on it and try to cut out any healthy remaining polyps and put them on several frags, then dip these each day in the furan II. If your local fish store doesn't carry furan II, then just do a google for it. You can buy it in 10 tab packs, or big 1-2lb jars (spendy). A 10 pack should do the trick in your case.

My suggestion is that you do the treatment separately in a 5 gallon bucket of water that you take out from your main tank. I won't use RO/DI as if your polyps are already weak and stressed from the POX, using RO/DI would just stress them further. Also by using water from your tank it gives you a chance to do a minor water change.

Furan2, although good for pox is still envasive and wouldn't us in a main tank as you don't know the overall affects it has on the tank, system and inhabitants long term. It should only be used in dips separate from the tank. Use gloves/goggles, as the chemicals used in it aren't best for you.

Sometimes if the polyps are far gone, the furan won't work and the polyp just continues to rot away.

Good luck,
