A good portion of my zoas are appearing to be "half closed". Its like the skirt closes up, but thats it. What might be causing it?

check for pests. If you can remove it i would take it out and give it a good dip with coral rx pro or coral rx. eliminate that possibility.

Check params.
This happens to me sometimes but it goes back to normal after a few weeks.
Also happened when I got new lights I guess it was too much light for them so I turned them off and they were open again.

Could amphipods be irritating them and causing it? Thats really the only pests I found, but they arent being eaten

I remember reading that there was a good type and a bad type of amphipods and that they can sometimes eat corals. Never happened to me but try checking at night with a red light.
