Hello all!

Wanted to see if anyone had any experience on how corals are “graded” (ie. A, B, ultra, rainbow... etc.)...

How many different “grades” are there?

And what is the order?

I kinda spinning my tires tryin to search for an actual concrete answer (although i completely can see why there isnt one) .. Is there any standard? Or is it more like a beauty is in the eye of the beholder type thing?

THANKS ALL!!

Idk if corals have a grade but names with rainbows, dragon soul, etc... are referring to the colors of the coral . I noticed people like lineage of corals like WWC or Jason Fox and prices seem higher for those corals . Maybe someone else with more experiences will chime in :)

Tryin to figure it out for wholesale purposes... may distributers out there grade their corals but dont show pictures for comparison.... i know their stock lists change moment to moment, just wish theyd have a more concrete system.... hopefully someone can crack the code lol

the more it costs the nicer it is,pretty much how it goes

I believe for a Scolymia to be called "master" it should have at least 3 distinct colors, and preferably an inner ring. But I don't think there's any standards committee enforcing this.
