“Jumping” Zoas??

I’ve had a small spa colony for about 8 months now. Never really saw any growth. A month or so ago I upgraded my lighting(which has helped the health of the whole tank!) and this morning I saw this new zoa colony about 3” below the old one. How did this happen? That rock is artificial rock I bought at LFS

Individual polyps can release and make a new home. Excuse the crappy picture below, but the pandora palys are on their own rock on the right, and the arrows show where they have popped up.
