“Micro” Macro Algae I.D

I thought this was a string algae but upon closer inspection almost looks like a caulerpra

I’d agree with Calurpa. It can start out pretty small. Grows fast if it’s happy. Easy to spread so can be considered invasive.

There are a couple different types of bladed caulerpa algaes. I am not up on the scientific names but there is a standard, short and long bladed I have seen over the years. I would consider the short in the realm of a "micro". Assuming that its healthy and growing properly standard caulerpa would have 4-6" blades, tall grow easily to 10" or longer, micro/short get maybe an inch and are very narrow.

I bought several macro packs from Gulf Coast Eco, macro Lady and another eBay source… this stuff wasn’t part of the assortment in any of them..

This stuff looked exactly like string algae until upon closer inspection had blades, almost like prolifera (spelling) but as you see: very tiny …
Appreciate it …I’ve pulled whatever I could find out and isolated it…
