Can anyone tell me how to get my nitrates up to 5ppm? Up until a couple months ago mine have been high in the 60-80 range but for the past 2 months I have gotten them to stay steady at 0. Isn't the ideal for reef tank 5ppm?

You could feed more or dose some Spectracide stump remover, it's just potassium nitrate. If you do a quick search on here, there are a bunch of threads on it.

How and what are you testing with? Can you verify the reading at LFS or a friends test kit?

When I got a nitrate reactor, mine dropped from 50 to 0 within a month. Now I just feed my coral more often :)
