In your return pump chamberSo the ATO I ordered should be delivered today. Does it matter what chamber I put it in on my sump?
Thank you!In your return pump chamber
ok yes high but you can get them down...as far as expensive manganese I went down that path too...Done with that whole experience and waste of $...Switched salts to Instant Ocean purple and did away with two other companies of stuff and switch to Tropic Marin A- and K*, two products gives me all I need instead of like 10 bottles...So far one month using A- and K+ and the zoa's have responded really good and so has the few lps and I have NOT lost a SPS...only have 4...but they were looking sad..also dosing Kalk and a DIY carbon dose formula...(both vodka/vinegar and rodi) may cut out the rodiok here are my numbers. consistently too high on the phos and nitrates. do you think that why im losing gonis?
sal.-1.025, phos. .45, nitrate-47.1, alk.-8.5, cal.-490. i dose a kh buffer, AFR and some expensive manganese that was supposed to be good for them.
ok let me try and help ya out a little..Most KH buffer like Aqua Forest etc have sodium and this can/will decrease PH when added until it bounces back somewhat due to something else you add. So maybe you PH is low. So buffers over time cause your tank sodium levels to increase higher then natural sea water...I have learned that KALK is more stable and helps with the natural ratio of Ca to Alk consumption since it adds a balanced ratio of CA/ALK... Kalk also help raise or maintain PH so needs to be added slowly over hours of the day. Kalk is way cheaper. I am adding a Ecotech dosing system to add kalk/ and Tropic Marin A- and K+... I am making things simpler and less products so when I jump to a 500 gallon I will have this new system down pat. People who I have spoken to, who have nice big tank use Kalk and always told me NO BUFFERs ever...so I don't.. Just sharing what I was told, something for thought for you to do or not do...It is only my opinion and could be wrong but is working for me ...ok here are my numbers. consistently too high on the phos and nitrates. do you think that why im losing gonis?
