Thanks for the concern Joel and Luis, alls good just got physically and mentally beat up the last two days. 56 full spine adjustments in 15 hours of work. I was in bed and asleep by 9:00 pm last night. I’ll try and do better. Take some advice from me you kids, don’t get old!

Coal miners used to take canaries into the mines with them. If toxic gas was released the canary would die before it affected them and they knew to get out. Probably not a lot of coal mines in Cuba? Have a great day off Luis !

@smitten with ocean life , my tailspot eats TDO pellets, flakes, reef jerky, mysis, brine and LRS fish frenzy but I’ll come home from work and his little belly is big and round from eating algae and probably pods off the glass.
 
Yeah, @smitten with ocean life, they need algae in their diet along with meaty foods. Mine eats clam and mysis and only when I'm on vacation he eats TDO pellets. All day I see him picking at the rocks and glass for pods and algae. Clam will fatten the blenny up really fast.

the gap will only get as big over time as the gap inbetween the glass that the silicone is suppose to fill. A little bypass is ok but if the gap is like around a 1/4 inch or so then that could be a percentage of water that is not going through the socks/mechanical part.. still it is not a big deal only will be a deal if this bypass does not let the chamber fill up with water so that most of the other water passes over the wall into the socks/mechanicalchamber 2..,,,hope that makes sense...just made my first cup...off today..gonna work on brick wall and a trim palm tree... we do one a weekend as it fills the garbage can for pick up....
 
no filter socks here either,I made a pad holder where I put felt the girl buys at fabric store for the water to pass through. You could see if those plastic cups fit in the holes and use it for carbon or anything you want to put in the cups if your not goinf to use filter socks...or just put cotton in them you can buy at fabric store cheap...Probably will not have to change out as much as socks... I did this for a sump I built for someone and they put cotton in the cups and then just throw the dirty cotton away and put new in...NO CLEANING anything....
