Good morning my friends.

Top of the morning to you and the gang!

So I'm reading mixed opinions from folks in the FB groups I'm in some are saying to not use the sand in the tank I'm getting and others are saying it will be fine. What do you guys think?

Highly debatable topic.
I am bare bottom as you know.
My opinion.
If you bring the tank over to your house leaving water just covering the sand and set it all back up very quick, disturbing the sand as little as possible it should be okay as long as the tank is up and running now.
You can rinse it all, dry it out whatever if you are starting anew I've seen people do that
But honestly, for what it costs just dump it and start with new sand.
You honestly don't know what you are inheriting.
Others hopefully will chime in. :)

The plan is to do it all as quickly as possible but it is about a 30 minute drive.

Should be fine.
You're going to mess it up a bit anyways breaking it down. Just do your due diligence with the current owner and if you get any weird vibes dump it all.

He's a teacher and seems to really take care of it and all the other creatures he has in his class.

I’m pro sand, I never have to touch it my diamond watchman goby, 2 tiger conches and nassarius snails keep my sand bed pristine.

Oh I will for sure have sand as I'm not a fan of bare bottom tanks.

I say go for it.
Like I said above just don't stir it all up and you're fine.
Moving it from house to house is no different from moving it from living room to bedroom.
Same thing has to happen both cases.

Thank you that was what I was thinking as well.

The music to this song makes me feel like I should be on a beach with a fruity drink in my hand...
In my mind, I'm there.
Body is at work. ;)
