00W's AIO Smorgasbord

It’s silly but I’ve officially been a reefer for 2 months today! Learned a ton, have so much still to learn but my little tank brings me so much enjoyment.
It’s funny, your reefing knowledge would make me think you have been in the hobby much longer. You have done your research!

I would think it’s a sign of a healthy coral if it’s extending its sweeper tentacles. My pectinia and chalice have long sweepers when lights are out or am I misunderstanding the question?

Normally it is good, but even today it was very very full but it didn't seem right like it was disintegrating. I put it lower it seems better so wait and see. Maybe wrong placement or got irritated as a fish threw sand on it.

Not silly! There is something oddly satisfying about this hobby and reaching milestones. Maybe cause it’s such a crap-shoot on any given day.

Hello all, I think I am losing my first coral (lepto) after light off last night, it is full of sweepers tentacles or it is its tissue.
Leptos have NASTY long sweepers if it's close to something. Mine puts out probably close to 2" sweepers when it starts getting close to the Cyphastrea. And it will sting the other coral.

Leptos tend to do better in a little bit lower light, but they can be aggressive.

got the new corals and the zoa in their place yesterday , see how they like it today.. see how it goes. Lots more yard work to do today so I will be out there trimming bushes, cut lawn and burning all the trimmings...maybe work on the fire pit or hang the tv on the patio all on my list this week...
