Yeah I agree that it’s low.
So does that mean that isn’t the cause?
I am using LFS water.
I feed 1 time per day sometimes even skip a day.
I have never tested the LFS water. They make the RO and saltwater there.

OK well that might be the culprit.
The algae is feeding off of nutrients.
Could be a bad RO filter with high TDS or excess silica from the water source too.
If you are not overfeeding ,and your tank is old enough to leech phosphate from the rock and you have plenty of coral using the phosphate I'd bet it's the water or salt.

Test it for phosphate, nitrate whatever you want to.
I have graduated from your mentor to your friend now and as your friend mentor I want you to get your own RO.
You can get a 4 stage, TDS meter and pressure gauge from Amazon for $100 and hook it right to your washing machine outlet.
If you need help with that I'm always here.

1) retest the water in your display
2) if you have a jug of the LFS saltwater, test that
3) I believe you use distilled water like i do for top off, correct? If not, test that as well.

Once we determine water, it will be easier to eliminate where the problem or problems are.

Like you, I had a GHA outbreak that was starting to affect my smaller frags. Once I figured out the human error, and corrected that FIRST, I went ahead and did a 14- day treatment of FluxRx and that totally got rid of it. We can discuss that in detail later.

Ok I will try and test it tomorrow for nitrate and phosphate.

I am still battling the hair algae. I am try do a de- bulking of it as often as I can but it’s a lot of work. It just keeps growing. Not sure why but it is. Nutrients are low and idk if light is a problem. I wish I could just hire someone to get rid of it all,

FluxRX is good but the hair will come back if we don't figure out what's causing it.

Low phosphates don't typically cause hair algae but hair algae can mask true phosphate levels. They're saying you may have higher phosphates but the hair algae is masking it by feeding off of it and removing it from the water column. That's what macro algaes do as well.

Agree! We have to figure out the problem first - then consider FluxRX. Remember, I had to find my problem, fix my problem and during all that, continually take GHA out of tank manually
