You keep batteries in, turned on, plugged in. It automatically comes on when the power goes out. Used it for years. Just change the air stone once a month or so.

The power went out on entire street tonight- only for 20 minutes but those were the longest in my life.

We don’t get them very often, maybe once a year for 10 minutes; so not generator worthy. I’ve been meaning to pick up the VorTech Battery Backup since I still have my pair of MP40’s from my old tank; however it’s not cheap- but a lot cheaper than losing everything

Currently, there isn’t a battery backup made for my Red Sea gyres, nor pumps.

What does everyone use as backup?

cpu battery back up , 12volt car battery and water pump,have not had to use yet...

No, you should start seeing results during the 14 days. Has it slowed down at all, are some patches turning grey or at least non- green? Is there more in the water column too clean then usual?

Nope nothing yet. I said on the box that you start to see things happen around day 10. I have seen a few videos and that was what happened
