You can attach it/self attaching but yeah I'm floating it until I know it's growing then I think I'll attach it to a rock or try anyways.

It's easy if you have nitrates to feed it. Shouldn't be a problem. Just anchor it with your rubble.

I do have an extra 20 long I could setup just to grow algea for tangs...

Blue hypnea is beautiful, but is harder without good flow and lights. Probably best in a fuge only tank instead of a sump imo.
