Any fun plans for the weekend?

There is a new beauty salon in town I go to that caters to women with cancer who have either very little hair to no hair. Also alopecia. They are having their grand opening on Sunday, food/drink/vendors, free gifts. My daughter and I are going. Just a little girl time! I’m excited cause I just got some fake eyelashes and also these awesome stick-on tattoo eyebrows - so I am going full glam makeup!

And today Dylan comes to do monthly water change and I always learn something new. Btw, Amanda, he is putting lights in this coming week!

Work today , then tomorrow bring my mother over and spend the day getting as much done as I can because I’m not off again until Thursday. Did I mention laundry?

What are your plans my dear?

Well I was going to go to a reef expo 3 hours away but its not in my budget to be able to go so instead I'm getting our spare bedroom ready for my youngest son that's been living with his dad in Mexico too come live with me. He's coming on April 13th.

Oh Amanda, that is wonderful news about your son; how old is he? How long has he been in Mexico, if I may ask?

And even though the expo would have been fun - it’s like shopping on crack, so probably better you didn’t go - hehe.

He's 17 and he's been there since he was 1. When his father went back to Mexico we decided he would stay with him there because I was working as a truck driver and the plan was that I would go live in Mexico with them when I had made enough to have a business and a home there. But then my daddy got cancer and before he lost his battle I promised him I would take care of my momma and I couldn't do that if I was in Mexico. Since he had already been there several years by that time and was happy and well cared for we decided he would stay there until he wanted to come to the US.

Yes , I’ll get a little thats why I bring my 81 yo mother over. Last Sunday after I had her clean all the toilets I had her put a new transmission in my son’s car. Tomorrow the toilets will need a good scrubbing again and then I’m having her move the weight set from the basement to the attic.

He's 17 and he's been there since he was 1. When his father went back to Mexico we decided he would stay with him there because I was working as a truck driver and the plan was that I would go live in Mexico with them when I had made enough to have a business and a home there. But then my daddy got cancer and before he lost his battle I promised him I would take care of my momma and I couldn't do that if I was in Mexico. Tough decisions all around; yet you persevered and now he comes to be with you. A huge adjustment for all; but what a gift to share your life and be there to guide him in a critical stage of his development as a young man.
