00W's AIO Smorgasbord

Good morning @Remi

Bad news, no tacos today - in fact, no lunch today. My daughter made something for dinner - not sure what it was though? Some pasta dish, sorta a hybrid between pesto and Alfredo maybe... It was edible, but it was not tacos.

Good news, my HR rep is on vacation so she assigned her coworker to assist me. We met today and I went through everything with her. She is very much supportive of my decision.

That is bad news about the tacos my friend. You really should eat lunch too.
I'm glad you finally have some support at work Tim, maybe a light at the end of the tunnel shall we say.
Good for you I like positive news!
I do have a work type employee type thing I wanted to talk to you about so I'll tell you about it in the morning.

Hellooo Smorgasbord Family!

Re-entering Earth’s atmosphere to find I’m only 2000 posts behind in catching up. Which I will do so and reply as appropriate (prolly take rest of day)! LOL

More importantly, I wanted to express my gratitude and love to each one of you! The Smorgasbord Prayers, and Good Thoughts absolutely were wrapped around me like a warm blankie throughout my hospital stay. The healing powers were felt and continue to do so.

It doesn’t matter whether your are religious, spiritual, atheist - pure science (quantum physics), is like energy attracts like energy - so I received it all, in all its forms. Thank you.

I also want to thank everyone for the additional act of kindness. It humbled me and took a moment to digest. It will help tremendously. I will ensure it goes toward something meaningful, something tangible. I’m embarrassed actually.

So we can wrap up my week of medical adventures, I’ll give a quick (by my standards/LOL) update so we can move forward with fun stuff to chat about.

It’s rare they put someone thru that many scans with contrast and nuclear solutions in that short amount of time; however, I had a team of cancer drs. and ortho drs. agree it was the best given my various issues that connect- I agreed.

Good news: right femar shows no fracture, nor a pending one. However, the lesion has done a fair amount of damage and eventually, it will fracture. So I start a 10-day radiation treatment next Thursday. Best case - it kills the lesion so it’s not active. If not, at least reduce pain so I can walk without so much pain. Only downside to radiation is it could also fracture the bone. But I’m in a choices part of the journey so don’t worry about what ifs.

There is a small lesion on left femar, but not doing much and I can’t feel it. Hope is new chemo will take care of it.

Regarding all the lesions throughout spine, pelvis, hip, too many and will hope that new chemo works. Most I’ve had for a long time and the new ones are small so they don’t enter my mind. Liver is still active lesions so that needs to get help from chemo.

Hard part is choosing another new chemo drug -I’ve already tried the best ones; however, my path these last 10 yrs. Is to just get to the next breakthrough drug and it moves out of trial so I have access to it. There is one coming out at end of this year, I’m hoping I meet the criteria.

Bottom line: Nothing life threatening at this time. You all are stuck with my verbose posts for quite awhile.

Looking like TSA trip will be sometime between May 12th-26th. I will be speaking with TSA today I think. I’ll start a new thread for the trip once I have the firm dates.

Again, all your love and prayers, jokes, memes, food discussions, recipes, pictures of tailspots, birds nests, incredible tanks/fish (JOEL); baseball pics/lore, pics of of fur family, discussions of GHA, DIY, CUC favs, career opportunities, feeling like a wet noodle, needing a beer or a blankie, or just dang salty…

Has made this woman whole.

Now, who’s rdy for a taco!

I think all of us are always ready for tacos. So glad it sounds like the hospital visit was not all bad news. Can't wait to follow your TSA adventures!

I don’t see anything rusting so what could it possibly be?
Parker, sorry for my absence; but you are in good hands with the experts here in our group.

Still take out Nori holder, frag rack, and acclimation box. Nothing in tank except to make it run.

Dont’ add anything to tank - if you do have fish/CUC in there and can’t move to temp tank, just feed them the basics - no extra stuff and don’t feed corals. Again, it would help if you listed what you feed and how often. I agree with Tim/Frank/Joel, it’s the water and/or leakage from equipment. But it’s still good for everyone to know exactly what your doing to give you the best next steps.

Ignore your LFS. With everything going on in your tank, their first suggestion should NOT be frag and dip a coral -says a lot about them.

Take the advice Frank is giving you on the RODI system. If you haven’t already done so, BRS has great tutorial videos all about RODI. It was a series, watch them before you ask Frank/Tim.Joel a lot of questions. Most of your questions will be learned through one 5-minute video.
It’s not an easy subject as there are multiple ways to go about it AND you have to factor in your houses setup; your parents wants on disturbing their house; and budget.

For now, while that gets discussed and you learn more, keep using distilled water and make your own saltwater- BRS even shows some vendor specific videos on how to make if you are unsure. What salt are you using?

We are all lucky to have these guys as quick as a text- THIS is your LFS!

And when I mean guys, I also mean us gals, I’m just showing my boomer age by not typing he/she.

@tbrown you think 1 noopsyche k7 v3 non pro is enough spread in a hybrid fixture for 30"? I was thinking 2, but the company says 1

This is 30" with 1 K7 and a 50 watt Nicrew. If you use 1, there's not going to be much PAR at the top edges outside of maybe 10" either side of center. Original design showed 24*24 spread. I would do 2 and turn the % down as necessary. That's my plan - replace the Nicrew with another V3, just haven't done that yet.

I will say that 2 V3s and 1 Pro III over my 6' tank was almost not enough, but I run 5-10% whites only. I run blues at 100% at peak and reds/blues at 30% at peak.

Yeah, looking for another non pro, but I can make it work for one of Kev's birdsnest frags :)

Did you enter the Noopsyche giveaway? Ends this weekend.

I did. I enter very few contests. Only if I need something. I always just do one entry because I feel like I'm being greedy. Maybe silly, but there are others that need stuff more than me.
