00W's AIO Smorgasbord

My conch ( the one with the hole in it’s shell) passed away. Look what I found eating it, a whelk snail. About 1/3 the size of the one I pulled out a couple of years ago.

You doing OK?
Yep , doing fine. 2 more infusions 2 weeks apart and then every 2 months. I start tapering down my prednisone 5 mg a day after each one and then probably faster, like every 5 days. I can’t wait to get off it , with the exception of three weeks I’ve been on it for 6 months.

Bueno.
I worry ya know :)

I'm having an excess of coralline algea growing on my glass any tips or ideas on what I could do to lessen it? I am seriously having to scrub it off the glass every couple of days. I don't care about it growing on the back of the tank but I want to keep the front clean and the sides mostly clean. Could it be too much light?

Tuxedo urchin will eat it.

Lower your magnesium and get something (like an urchin) that eats coralline. Problem with urchins is they don't usually spend a ton of time on the glass and tend for the rocks and corals. They can and will climb glass, just not their preference it seems.

keep scraping, some people would love to have that problem, just keep params in check... ;) :)

I agree with keep scraping. I'm actually trying to bring my magnesium up... Bringing it down helps lessen coralline algae but also impacts coral health. Coralline can outcompete other algae for space on the rocks making it harder for other bad algae to grow.

I have a pin cushion can I have two?
I don’t have experience but I don’t see why not. I would ask the vendor your going to get it from just to make sure. But still I think it would be fine.

My Magnesium is already too low according to my readings the other day were 1170 for it.
