Smorgasbord Fam,
Just wanted to say my love and gratitude to each one of you is a constant in my life. While I am blessed to have a strong family support, the wide-spread distance everyone is located throughout California makes it difficult to help me in a physical way; so I do most things on my own (thank goodness for Dylan).
Yet this virtual family fills that gap many a day - can’t really explain it. That connection of keeping these incredible animals alive and thriving in our home reefs creates a DNA memory in our bodies; one that is shared on a deeper level than we can understand.
Know that as soon as I am in my hospital room and coherent, my Harry Potter Flannel pajamas will be on; lip gloss, and sparkly eye shadow re-applied. One must fool the Gods of hospital grossness into believing they are at the Spa!
@fishguy242 Frank, that photo you posted in the cafe, of the sitting area above the firepit, still daylight (had a mock picket fence). It really struck me - I just wanted to be sitting there with you and the Smorg/cronie groups sipping some sweet tea, waiting for sunset to start the bonfire. Of course as soon as we saw our favorite pink colors cross the sky, we would move on to the much stronger libations.
I will be thinking of that, and my two grand babies tomorrow morning. Very lucky indeed.
