So I've been keeping aquariums since 1989 and I've never had as many issues with anything as much as this P I T A 29 gallon freshwater I took over for my son.

Got this NOS off ebay.
Thought the older reefers would like to see the original.
This one is actually made in Germany.
My last ditch effort until I just give these fish away.
I've been through brown water, green water, this bloom that bloom, all the plants dying and it makes me feel like I have no idea what I'm doing....

I have only added stuff manually and only after I test before and after so I know where I'm at.
My pinpoint ph monitor has been a godsend since I know once it dips below 8,I can dump 1/4 cup alk in and I'm good for about 4 days.
That's as complicated as I get.

I still gotta order that pinpoint monitor.

As cool as all the automated testing and dosing is, I feel as a new reefer, staying connected to the ecosystem is critical in my understanding.

Now, once they get all the kinks out of all these new products, and have some long-term success with end-users, I would love to add to my toolset!
