Good morning, tank maintenance and water changes are my Thursday thing, not much tank wise. I will broadcast feed reef chili, Reef Energy AB+, AFR and phyto.

I love the challenge.

The new tank is going to be challenging. I want to try this.

I think having the gyres at 45 degrees helps with creating a lot of alternating currents.. I was not happy with the same old back and forth /left to right..action. I think once I get the two mounted pushing water straight down it will help push stuff off the bare bottom and into my 3 overflows on the back wall.

Just wondering if somehow there are excess nutrients being accumulated in the sump then being used by the algae just in that area.

Exactly what I was thinking.
That's the answer I needed.

Y'all know I run slow return flow so I think that's it.

I may use powerheads on each side for interior flow around rock. Cube tank.

I put an elbow on it last night shoot the water out instead.

I shut my gyres down at lights off so the fish have a calm night...
