I've got "sponsors" more or less. Aqueon looks for brand ambassadors every now and then. I'm hoping to become one for them. It means different things for different companies but I already advertise as much as possible for a couple of companies on here and they've been very generous with products. A large majority of my equipment was/is from those 3 or 4 brands honestly. It's good stuff.
