I have two tiger conch’s. Thought one was gone after not seeing it for four weeks. The second I added the new one the original came flying out of the sand. They kinda cruise around together. Here is one waving hi.

I have 3 of these guys and each one is adorable to watch.
I’ve not got any in my main display but I do plan for a couple. I keep forgetting to replenish my snail CUC in my main tank so that’s a job for this weekend.

They seem bigger then average CUC snails, can they handle a snail loving wrasse or architect goby who uses snails like foundation pillars?!?

It depends what the wrasse is if I’m honest.

@Projects with Sam do you happen to have any spare parts for one of these?

I do have a skimmer by them but not the same one. And I don’t have the part but figure it’d be really easy to make given @tbrown’s description.

The trickiest part will be finding an appropriately sized inner pipe as I believe it will need to be somewhat snug if you don’t just use a rubber ring to make up the difference.

Turn that pipe. One way will increase the flow for a "wetter" skim which will need to be emptied more frequently, the other way will decrease the flow for a "drier" skim. It's up to you how you want it. @fishguy242 runs his pretty wet and leave the drain open so it drains the liquid back into his sump. I prefer a dry skim so I only have to empty and clean the cup every month or so.

I'd turn it on and turn the pipe in one direction until the bubbles are just reaching the top of the neck and then adjust up to your desired wetness from there. It'll likely start overflowing, but keep slowly turning it until it's where you want it.

If you get it too clean, you're probably going to need to take the cup off and run the skimmer for a couple of days to a week to "break it in".

Sorry I fell asleep last night before your reply I left it soaking over night in vinegar and water and will scrub it today after work and try it. Crossing my fingers that it works.

Normally there are not reef safe but true there sincerely beautiful fish. They have very different pattern/color between juvenile and adult

So as our resident wrasse lover/expert; who keeps a variety of them, do they just like an extra CUC snack on occasion and you just know to replenish CUC more often? And I’m speaking of the basic team, snails/ hermit crabs
