00W's AIO Smorgasbord

I am thinking about getting the Hanna test kits I think they have one for each of those if I'm not mistaken.
Only way to go.
Great investment.
I do hanna for phosphate, nitrate and alk.

OK so I lied.
I did have an ugly stage about 3 years in.
I had a massive pink algae outbreak that covered the back glass and a massive hair algae outbreak at the same time coupled with massive red cyno.
But that wasn't in the beginning it was much later.

I thought her rock was short cycled, ok maybe
Nope it was live rock his tank was well established when I went to pick it up and I kept rock and sand covered in aged tank water while transporting and until it went from the toes into the tank.

I see no problem adding herbivores slowly once algae is plenty. Also supplement with nori. Back in the day I used Romaine lettuce for my yellow tang. Did I mention I bought it for a quarter ;) .

Ok so while I was at the LFS I talked to the owner and he said if I get him a list of all the fish I want he can see which ones he can get and get me prices for them. Then I can buy them a little at a time for my tank so who wants to look at my list and help me either add to it or take away from it?

Yellow Tang
Scopias Tang
Magnificent Dartfish
Banggai cardinalfish
Tailspot blenny
Court Jester Goby
Diamond Goby
Dispar Anthias
Halichoeres iridis.
Macropharyngodon meleagris
Halichoeres leucoxanthus
Yellowhead Jawfish
Dispar Anthias- Schooling Fish
Royal Gamma

CUC:
Lettuce Nudibranch
Urchin
Maybe some kind of cucumber?
Wait at least four months to add the diamond goby so there is enough flora in the sand for food.

I would keep the royal gramma on your list, I love mine.

@Calmwaters I think you’ll have all those fish in there at some point, I think I’ll get backed up on this, you won’t even notice the fish because you will be more drawn to your corals. Coming from a guy who started with just fish and didn’t understand people’s attraction to coral. All it took was my first coral.

Also, you’ll never get used to people coming to your house and asking about all the plants in your tank. You’ll explain they are coral which are animals not plants. They will look at you with a blank look on their face.

I am super excited about the corals them and the cuc critters are one of the main reasons I wanted a saltwater tank. I was under the impression that it was fish first then add corals but I'm good with adding a fish every now and then and focusing more on corals for now.

No one ever comes to my house but I can understand what you are saying.

I can’t wait to see your tank filled with all those fish and coral, it’s going to be epic.
