00W's AIO Smorgasbord

I’m off on Thursdays, got up and piddled around. I’ve only had one cup of coffee! Water change and deep clean of the tank. Fragging my chalice today and of course laundry. I want your chicken fried steak with extra gravy please!
Order sent!
Might need to heat it up a bit. ;)

Ace Hardware and True Value are going to be better sources than Lowe's and Home Depot. You might get lucky, but none of the close by stores had them. Ace had a TON!

Morning Parker,

I had to get through the 2 pages just since we logged last night. I know the guys are helping you, but I wanted to answer your question on “products” specifically.

First, your already going through process of testing ALL water sources that go in tank.

Second, What we all meant by products was twofold:

1) all equipment in DT/Sump, and to give a thorough inspection to see if anything was leaking/leaching/hair-line crack, etc. It should be part of your maintenance plan at least once a quarter (this is separate from checking things out during regular water changes).

2) all additives you put in tank. This includes, chemicals, biologicals, food, and as an example, things like a chemi-pure blue bag.

I did all this when I couldn’t get rid of my GHA effectively. It was also an opportunity for me to get to know my tank a little deeper and better understand how everything connects to one another.

This is a very methodical hobby, and for us new reefers can be hard because we put our hearts into it and the darn thing looks overwhelming and we just want to give up. You are fortunate to have this group of experienced reefers who are also friends.

Take a deep breathe, digest what they’re saying and go practice Lacrosse to clear your head. It’s been a tough week for you.

Good morning everybody!

Good morning!
With the weather the way it has been, it's been chicken fried steak and tons of country gravy on everything :face-with-tongue:

You need my address to send the chalice?

Hope you're having the BEST day off Kev!!
Thanks, doing some running around, at my last stop. Picked up my dog’s license and tag, last day before getting a late fee!

Are Bicolors the aggressive ones? I can't recall.
Per LiveAquaria:

These fishes are normally peaceful tank members, but have been known to pick at other blennies, smaller gobies and dartfish. They normally make a good addition to reef aquariums, but use caution in smaller set ups, or with smaller fleshy corals, as they have been know to pick at the mantles of clams, and at fleshy large polyp stony corals when underfed. In larger reef aquariums they rarely do damage to these corals or clams.
