I bought some nori and can I use freshwater algea wafers? They didn't have any marine ones.

The ones I have are for both soI would believe so, yes.

I also picked up a bottle of copepods that my LFS close to me ordered for me. I tried to get pictures of the corals in their bags but they don't show up very well. Both these stores take really good care of their tanks I thought about just adding the corals without dipping them...

They can/might/will.
Can add to sump as well if you have something in there for entertainment.
Add at night or after feeding sometimes that helps.

I have small coral pieces in the sump not sure how entertaining that would be...

Was just joshing but they'd probably like that and multiply.
I always thought they needed something to do, have a life.
They'll make their way there on their own.
Just throw them in the tank.

I don't turn off my filtration

I have never turned anything off either.

I dump mine half in the Fuge and half in the tank.
