I took Lilly on a walk today. I used to take both of them on walks but as they got bigger it got very difficult to walk two, hundred pound dogs. I have a big yard so they both were able to run around, but because Dixon died of heart failure, I want to make sure Lilly has a strong heart. I am not ready to lose her... I thought once she passed I would have Dixon for a few years (he was only 9), but now once I lose Lilly I will have no dogs left. I am still heartbroken and I feel like a huge part of me is missing.

Sending you nothing but good vibes Walker.
I'm so sorry and I'm right there with you and have been in your shoes a couple of times with a couple of furry friends.
Thoughts are with you and we're always here if you need us.

I know Walker, they take up a huge part of your heart. It's the tragedy of dogs (and cats). They're with us long enough to really imprint on us, and when they've sniffed all the butts and marked all the bushes they were meant to, they take a huge part of us with them. Time heals all wounds (metaphorically speaking.. not physiologically.. unfortunately), and we know what you're going through is hard.

I have kept 3-4 dogs at most times in my life. I've lost 9 through the years. All we can do is snuggle them while we have them. It always hurts to lose one and we usually wait a little bit before adding another.

So sorry Walker, it is never easy. I wish there was something I could say to help you, everyone deals with it differently. No right or wrong way.

This afternoon I caught one of the shrimp in the trap I made now if the other one would just fall for it and go in I would be happy. I really don't want to have to take my rock apart but my new corals are coming tomorrow so I have got to get it out...

Soo many furry family have entered my life and left (always too soon); yet each came at just the right moment(s). Just haven’t figured out why they left when they did. Maybe, it isn’t about me, but that lil dog who is waiting for me for their souls journey here to thrive and be spoiled.

Walker, it’s totally ok to be heartbroken and important that you allow all of it to bubble up. And good you feel comfortable doing so with us.

@ESABOE when are your new beauties arriving?
Just spoke to Blaine this morning- June 10th! That gives me time to setup nano, move nems and clowns as well ( I say me, but we know it’s Dylan). Also, he gave me for free one of his old tank nano peninsula stands from his house and my daughter and I are re-finishing it.

All the corals will stay on racks for a few weeks to acclimate and observe since it’s a rather large shipment if I include the WWC corals they gave me and I purchased.

I’m going to work on my build thread updates the rest of this week now that it’s been rip-cleaned
