@MERKEY ,thoughts ?Ok sounds good. Would the iodine dip help even if it doesn’t need it? I have seen some of the white tissue receipt overtime on the torch.

Short answer , YES, CONGRATS ,and Thank you...Alright guys, so, I am still in shock, but tomorrow I am getting 2 puppies. It's very new news to me, but these 2 poor puppies are suffering. Basically the breeder sold them to someone, but they realized that the responsibility of keeping dogs was too much for them. The breeder took them back, but has too many dogs to care for them, so they need a home ASAP. They are sleeping outside, and it's been freezing these past few nights in NY. The breeder says they are depressed, and she feels so bad. We said we'll take them. They are brother and sister. I wanted only one, but I would feel so bad separating best buddies that are currently depressed. I just went to my local pet store and got everything I could possibly need. I don't know how to feel about this, but I feel I am doing the right thing as no one else has adopted these dogs yet.

You have to feel GREAT, huge action you are doing Walker, I congratulate you and I take my hat off.I don't know how to feel about this
With you being gone the next several days, I would do an Iodine dip just to make sure it's clean for the moment.@MERKEY ,thoughts ?
Maybe you're beautiful pup you had to day goodbye to sent them to you because he knew you need them as much as they need you... what kind are they?Alright guys, so, I am still in shock, but tomorrow I am getting 2 puppies. Yes! I told Dixon to send me the perfect dog right before we had to put him down. They are golden doodles!Maybe you're beautiful pup you had to day goodbye to sent them to you because he knew you need them as much as they need you... what kind are they?
Oh, trust me there will be!Honored and exceptional Walker.
More than the right thing. The only thing.
When I got our two boys 13 years ago they had been at the breeder for 6 months. No one wanted them.
They're usually sold by 2 months.
She told us take both and I'll give you one for free.
We only wanted one but I'm so so glad we took both.
I can't imagine now, after all these years what life would have been like separating the two brothers.
Right on Walker!
Pics when you can.
follow directions on bottle or tube...Anyone know how to do the iodine dip?

I mix Lugol’s with water from the tank until it is like an ice tea color. Dip for 8-10 minutes, rinse and replace.Anyone know how to do the iodine dip?
People handle the death of their dogs differently. I have always gotten a new one right away, not to replace the other one but to help me and my family feel occupied and take our minds off the one we lost. It always helped. We lost our golden retriever 3 days before Christmas to cancer, died while at the vet, we did not put him down. My oldest son, just a child then , was crying and said it ruined Christmas. My senior year at OSU I worked at an animal hospital, a previous employee walked in with a Bernese Mountain dog, the most beautiful dog I had ever seen. A year later Family Circle magazine listed the top 10 family dogs, the Bernese made the list. The day after my golden died I was looking at the newspaper ( for you younger reefers, this used to be how we got the news) and there was an add for Bernese puppies. I called my wife and told her to have our oldest son ready when I got home we were going to get a puppy. We had a great Christmas!Yes!
