I've heard that Halloween Pincushions are the best. Cool looking too.I've never had it but today I'm going to go through the lfs to see if there are any small ones, Should I add something else to the cuc?
Pithos like the sand, so they go in the rock work?Pitho crabs are quite useful an, in my experience, quite safe.
I also like having an army (~50 or so) of dwarf ceriths. They can't do anything about that GHA there, but they get into the very tight slaces and might be able to prevent it taking root elsewhere.
Tux urchin is great and very fun, but if that doesn't get the job done, 2 Mexican turbos will do it. Bulldozers, yes, but very effective.
If you get a good one!Pithos like the sand, so they go in the rock work?

Good move on the drip for the tux. They HATE quick changes in salinity. Mine have dropped spines and died shortly after salinity swings due to bad LFS water used for water changes (way too high sg). Good to keep in mind for future too.
Well isn’t he stinking cute! Enjoy the way he looks bare naked because he’s going to armor up and you won’t see him like that again. Put him to work Luis!
Adding you to my prayer list.Hi Smorgy Fam!
Logged in here multiple times in last few days to checkin, so sorry. Too many things to reply to as we are a busy family around here.
Not going to even try and catch up on the pages; but wanted u to know I am fine. Extremely busy trying to prepare for a surgery, the unknown of when I actually get to go back home. Receiving huge shipment of TSA/WWC corals, setting up nano tank, and in my organizational brilliance, decided to move furniture out of bedroom to put my Stickley desk in. Also, mailed out a partial group of thank you’s and things to you all if I was able to receive your home address.
Feel very obligated to put some kind of posting up for receiving shopping spree corals. It won’t be as cool as i had planned, but it will suffice for now.
i fly to SF this Saturday. Surgery is on Monday at 5am. I will have plenty of time afterwards to catch up with ya all as I sit bored in the hospital.
If there any emergencies or critical things happening with any of you, just DM me as I will see those. It’s important because we ALL deal with life’s trials and tribulations.
One thing I would ask: each of you has their own beliefs - religious or not, atheist or pure science, or whatever drives you. If you want to send me good energy, especially between Sunday and Monday, I would be most grateful.
10 yrs ago when I was first diagnosed and went through 9 months of treatments and surgeries, a global prayer circle was created (independently of each other) through my global co-workers I knew at Safeway. I won’t bore you with all the miracles that happened durning that time, but I believe it was the foundation of my survival at that time.
Similar to our sweet brother Kevin, I have come upon the more critical stopping points along the way to receive pretty spectacular medical innovations and I want to do anything I can to help in it’s success- like give up cheerios and beer! Lol.
Anyway, I can’t write a short note for the life of me (unless I’m ticked); but hey, you went 4 days without a Jenny Monologue.
Love ya all, Jennifer
Very much like an urchin to carry around the dismembered remains of a crab as a warning to all.Well isn’t he stinking cute! Enjoy the way he looks bare naked because he’s going to armor up and you won’t see him like that again. Put him to work Luis!![]()
Yep on tuxedo urchin!Manually remove and or keep it short so your cuc can eat it. Get a Tuxedo urchin, the best cuc I have.
Yes, forgot about this one. I,have two in my 75gal. Model citizen so far, had them for 4 months at least. Eats all the bed stuff.I would not shy away from an emerald crab, great cuc and always picking and eating algae. I’ve never had a problem in over 18 years of reefing. They say the females are more reef safe. I have had both and haven’t noticed a difference or a problem. I currently have 2 in my tank.![]()
