hmm...maybe drain a combination drain maybe half the tank or some of it to lower the water height and use the mess my girl said, then put the water back or use the opportunity to use it as a water change if you do those...I have a few hammer corals and some zoas in my tank. Do you think I'd be able to remove a significant amount of water without damaging my ecosystem? It's a 40 gallon tank. Thanks very much for your reply.
