I am thinking of buying a used tank to then turn into a reef tank. Once I find one I will buy it, and do whatever I need to turn it into a reef tank. I would probably plumb it and have a sump because I would want it to be much larger than my nano. I think it would be a fun project to do in my free time. What do you all think?

I bought a 75, got an overflow and wet/dry, and put a Metal Halide over it for my first reef tank. The tank cost me $5 at a thrift store.

whats the smallest size i could get by for a puffer tank? itd just be a fowler but mostly for a puffer... like a 125?

im pooped had a ton of grocery shopping to do. now i just need to put it all away! put first i couldnt resist doing a little tinkering on my tank checking stuff out. make sure everyone was still ok while i was away. now gotta get dinner in the oven! but had a good one! sounds like all of you were busy too!

Sometimes it's hard to pull away from it long enough to complete tasks. Oh well, happy cooks make good food.

yes, walker! that does sound like fun! im thinking of getting a second tank too. but all of the good deals are too far from me! thats prob a good thing!

A lot of great deals on tanks are on Black Friday, that’s when I was planning on buying mine before my daughter got engaged. I was looking last year and saw a lot of significant discounts. Black Friday is right around the corner.
