pretty quiet here at home, I changed all the doser hoses and added a bag of carbon and a bag of Rowaphos to the tank

Tanks still a little cloudy so I won't move any of the fish over to it until tomorrow. I have a ton of anubias plants left over and several Cryptocoryne pontederiifolia plants let that I plan on taking to the fish store hopefully tomorrow for store credit. I will then turn around and spend it on either different plants or some more fish for the tank.

I am thinking of starting a thread about my modified skimmer but I have a really hard time with the interesting folks, don't know if that's the right word or not, who reply.
The thread is really for beginners and those who maybe can't spend a lot of money.
What do you all think?

i think you should. you can always ignore the difficult people. but it seems like people are always glad for any skimmer info. i know i am!

There's always the naysayers and it's not in my personality to respond to that.
It's also hard since so many people have to buy everything new and I buy everything used.

Ahh don't worry about those people. I deal with them all the time. People have their ways, and usually, they have the mindset that that's the only way to be successful.

I'd say post it if you're comfortable. If not, you can make something exclusively for the Smorgasborg fam to read.
