I have always wondered how they count cards and how surveillance catches them. I use to do staffing for the casino here but they company I worked for did away with my position after almost 8 years due to cut backs because of covid.

I'll just tell you! You assign cards in the deck a value. Cards A,K,Q, J,10 have a value of -1. 7,8,9 have zero value and cardd 2-6 are +1. You just have to add and subtract the other players cards while the game is being played. When the deck goes positive, you raise your bet because of the likely hood that the dealer busts. You lower, or stay low when it becomes negative. We're constantly counting too, so when you raise your bet on a high positive count, we "ask" you to leave.

i would run out of fingers and the dead give away would be when i took my shoes off to count with my toes.
