yesterday I was doing a quick cleaning on the wrasse qt and he/she freaked out and ping ponged around the tank and flew out but hit me and ended back in the tank. Stopped and put the lid back on, all I had done is put the hose in the tank. Unfortunately it looked like some injuries on its head, but left it to rest overnight. Found him unresponsive this morning, ugh. Was being super personable and happy, feeding out of my hands multiple times a day. Feel horrible.

Same happened to my pintail and my pencil wrasse. The pintail didn't make it. Pencil is still alive but disappears into the sand at first sight of movement outside the tank.

Sorry about your pintail @JoJosReef , debated one of those.
I know wrasses can be twitchy so I was moving slow, but never had one that twitchy. Also have never had one this energetic, beautiful and personable.

See a lot of Goni's listed. Do those live for more then 9-10 months now? Will have to go do some research if they are able to be kept now, my knowledge is like a decade behind and keep reading to catch up.

I'm so sorry for you two. I'm nervous now because I think I'll catch my first wrasse (Exquisite) tomorrow. I already paid for it and the guy is holding on until I finish the lid that I'm doing right now
