00W's AIO Smorgasbord

This will sound totally stupid Luis but sometimes when a tank starts going down due to lack of love the animals know it and follow suit.
Did you check salinity?
Parameters sound good and I'm assuming they've stayed there for awhile?

What salt?
I'd do a 5 to 10 gallon change every couple of days for a week with a good salt, clean all filter materials and check for weirdness and replace.
Do an icp and you might find a buildup of something uncool that they are not liking.
Yes a large amount of cheato can soak up all kinds of nutrients, good and bad.
Another problem is that he is using seawater from his LFS even though he has a bucket of Red Sea Blue. I am also leaning towards chaeto but we will see what happens in the next few days.

Check his equipment for rust. Just throwing things out there.

I'd check the water from the store I bet that's the problem right there.
I remember Parker was doing the same thing and I kept telling him to check the water. He finally did and it wasn't good.
Suggest to him lovingly you'll help and use the blue bucket.
Check the salinity of his tank for fun.
I'm betting but not positive an icp will either show copper or lead.
Just a hunch I'm probably wrong.

Is he skimming?

I was going to write an article about a year ago about household water supply and copper pipes.
I was answering a thread but got some push back from another member quite aggressive so I dropped it.
A faulty RO membrane, or one that needs a change can let a lot of unseen contaminants through without people thinking much about it.
Copper builds up in our tanks, even in small amounts. It takes to our rocks and sand and over time can build to a lethal level, unnoticed until weird coral issues.
How many times have you read a post where they say parameters are awesome but everything is dead.
Just me rambling on sorry guys and probably not the case here but my point is always, always have control over your water source.

That's why I limit myself to writing only in this thread and in the tank thread from you all, lately I can't even give an opinion because everything becomes aggressive and everyone wants to be right.

You should write it Joel, seriously, I assure you that it will help more people than those who will be bothered. Also always remember that if your message helps 10 and bothers 50, you are already winning, my friend

Your safe here I’ve never been right in my life, ask my wife.

Everyone have a great night. Neon dreams.
