I currently have a 1:3 rodi system. I would like to make it a 1:1 to do this can I just add the BRS water saver kit?

Adding a water saver upgrade will get you to 1:1.5 maintaining your 1:3 over each membrane. If you want anything Better than that you're going to need to purchase some flow restrictors and change the ratio going through the membranes themselves. This will over time shorten the life span of your membranes, how much depends on a lot of factors.

As mentioned above you're going to need, atleast IMO a minimum of 85 PSI to run two membranes. I run dual membranes at 85-90 PSI and barely get 45 PSI into the second membrane which is just barely acceptable for water production...

I’ve asked spectrapure this exact question when I installed a booster pump.

“1.5:1 is very low and definitely not recommended without a functioning water softener. I would say 3:1 or even 4:1 if the hardness is very high!”
“Too low of waste to product water ratio will slowly degrade the membranes rejection rate depending on your water hardness.”
