I bought a waterbox marine 60.2 and it has 1 filter sock that i dont mind cleaning every few days should i bother with a roller? or its not worth for a tank that size and 1 filter sock.

Filter rollers have their benefits, but it's up to you. If you are struggling with nitrate and phosphate then maybe. It's one of those luxuries than I think only make a big difference on heavily fed tanks or tanks that would produce a lot of physical crud but again it's a personal choice

Yes filter cups are so easy.. You can buy them at saltwateraquarium.com , amazon has the red sea white cups, also brs has them. They are plastic cups that replace the filter sock. They fit perfect into the hole for the filter sock. They come in 4 or 7 inch size. You have to determine which size.
I have 4 on my 300. You can put poly fill in them, felt pads( both things i get at fabric store save $$$) and just toss the dirty floss or pad away . (I cut to a size , roll it up and put it in the cup_)
Also you can put filter media in them if you had more then one. You really need to use it as a trap for debris with floss, felt or some sort of material like that.
hope this helps with your decision.

I am not sure a roller is necessary, but I have never used one. I do use socks, but sometimes go without. When doing a water change or work in the tank, I make sure to have a sock on and then remove 24hrs later to clean it out.
I usually keep them on my overflows though.
I made mine with some purchased felt material. I have tons and it is very easy to do if you can use a sewing machine. You do not have to know what you are doing on it, just use it. :)

Yes filter socks get old cleaning them. I've tried media cups in my reefer 625. It's easier but it's not better. If you want your fish to look like they are floating because your water is so clear use filter socks. I have 2 AIO setups as well that use pads/floss and it's easy to see the difference in clarity by looking at the tanks.
