1 gal nano reef (first saltwater setup)

Looks like a monster with many arms. :) I see the refugium, what are the other two filters? Just curious. 1g is so little water the more the better.
The filters are for added flow, and if I ever need to put any activated carbon in them, relistically there is more than one gallon in the whole system due to the refugium and filters containing extra water, inside the tank itself it's less than a gallon at any given time.

My biggest problem with my 6g is flow. I have the little Hydor flow pumps (cannot remember model, but tiny guys), and they still stick out like sore thumb. I get the need for flow and hard time finding an actual pump to do it.

Anybody else have ideas for pico powerheads?

Atm I'm not really concerned with presentation, I'm afraid hydor pumps are the smallest around, I like the HOB filters because they can deliver a wide flow, and are great surface agitators, the only thing wrong with them is I don't typically keep anything in them because they turn into nitrate factories, the only thing in the tank is the intake, which can be hidden by rock

Got mangroves? :)

Can you bury magrove roots in sand or do they have to find their way in it?

Bad news: magrove got a but of osmotic shock and so why witherd away
Good news: too much chaeto! Refer to my refugium pic to see how mih it's grown! I added a little more but this is ridiculous

Current setup, gsp colony has a hydroid infestation sadly. Although it continues to grow.

With that open top and three hang on filters evaporation is going to be crazy. The sealed jar pico would be a better choice then this open top tank.
there are systems like this. With the filter under the tank and they come with a light. Made in China. I have small nature aquariums in the 7 gallon range and my wife loves them.

My setup has been running for over a year, it has an auto top off system attached to compensate for evaporation
