1 inch Union Question

The PVC i got is sch 40, and all the unions i'm finding are sch 80. am i missing something here? Will the sch 80 union work with the sch 40 pvc?

Yes, exterior or outer diameter is the same. The inside or interior is different because schedule 80 is thicker with a smaller inside diameter

So, ( sorry new to this ) i can get the SCH 80 unon with my SCH 40 PVc and it will work

i just bought sch 40 unions in home depot the other day

The sch is the amount of pressure it can handle. A lot of reefers use sch 80 for aesthetics (as most is gray/black).
